If a Seed, Crop, Product, or Customer is being used in an active Order OR has been used in a past Order, it cannot be deleted from the system. This is because the items can still be used for generating reports. Instead, you can archive an item and hide it so it does not show in dropdown menu fields or summary lists.

In the past, even deleted Orders were preventing users from deleting a Seed, Crop, Product, or Customer on SeedLeaf, but this issue has now been resolved.

To delete a Product or Customer from a past-deleted Order:

  1. From the Orders page, select "All Time" from the display range drop down menu

  2. Scroll over the column headings to reveal the hidden menus (three vertical dots)

  3. Click on the menu and select "Filter"

  4. Under Columns, select with "Customer" or "Product"

  5. Then type or paste the Customer or Product you are searching for, using whichever "operators" make the most sense for your search. The filter updates with each keystroke

  6. Once the Orders are displayed, you might see a mix of "one-time" and "recurring" Orders.

  7. To delete recurring Orders, click on the first Order in the recurring series, then click the trash can at the top of the table and select "This and Following Orders" from the pop-up menu.

  8. To delete one-time Orders, simply click on the Order then click on the trash can.

To delete a Crop you can do so from the Crops page, but you must first make sure you have removed it from any Product that contains it.

To delete a Seed, you can do so from the Seeds page, but you must first remove it from any Crop that contains it.
