SeedLeaf can be used to create single-seed crops or multi-seed crops.
Single-seed crops are the standard, but what if you want to sow a tray with more than one seed type?
It's easy, just follow the steps below!
STEP 1: Pre-mix the seeds before sowing and give this "new" seed a name (you may have done this already)
e.g., "Basil MIX - Lemon and Thai"
e.g., "Radish MIX - Triton, China Rose, Red Daikon"
Be sure to put the specific name of the Seed mix on your container, especially if you have multiple mixes that are similar! You see we have capitalized MIX in the name - it just helps it stand out a bit.
STEP 2: Create a new "Seed" in SeedLeaf and name it with your "new" mixed seed name
Seed: Basil MIX
Variety: Lemon and Thai
or:
Seed: Radish MIX
Variety: Triton, China Rose, Red Daikon
You can come up with whatever naming convention works best for you. This method keeps the seed name short for easier screen reading. There is no need to add modifiers to the mixes (e.g., "Basil Mix 1" and "Basil Mix 2") as you will always select Seeds for Crops by both name and variety.
STEP 3: Create a new Crop (or Crops) based on this seed and name appropriately:
Basil MIX - Lemon and Thai - LIVE TRAY
Radish MIX - Triton, China Rose, Red Daikon - 1020 CUT TRAY
Each of these Crops would be sown using the corresponding seed mix from your stock.
STEP 4: Create your Products using the corresponding Crop
Now you can create a product which can have the same name as the Crop if you want or use a different naming on convention for the Product:
"Basil MIX - Lemon and Thai"
or
"Lemon and Thai Basil MIX"
Now you can start selling your mixes along with your other products!
